Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and allow the unit to dry before further use. Water inside an EVSE is hazardous.
- 1. Dry the interior: With power OFF and cover removed, gently dry internal surfaces with a lint-free cloth and allow the unit to air dry for at least 24 hours in a dry environment.
- 2. Inspect seals and gaskets: Check the perimeter gasket on the Lectron cover for cracks or compression set. Replace if damaged.
- 3. Tighten cable glands: Ensure all cable entries are properly compressed around the cable jacket and that no gaps are visible.
- 4. Verify mounting: Confirm the unit is mounted vertically as specified by Lectron, with drip loops on cables where recommended.
Resolution: If corrosion or damage is visible on the main control board or wiring, replace affected components or the entire EVSE. Improve weatherproofing or relocate the charger to prevent recurrence.
