Lucid home charger shows E03 and does not energize; vehicle does not begin charging and may show ‘No Power from EVSE’.

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and lock it out if possible. The contactor handles high voltage; only qualified persons should open the unit.

Basic user checks:

• Power-cycle: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then ON. Sometimes the control board will clear a transient contactor feedback error.
• Listen for contactor click: When starting a charge, stand near the Lucid charger and listen. A healthy unit will click once when the contactor closes. No click or repeated clicking may indicate a contactor issue.

Advanced checks (technician level):

• With power OFF and cover removed, visually inspect the main contactor on the Lucid power module for heat discoloration, melted plastic, or loose terminals.
• Verify the contactor coil connector is fully seated on the Lucid control board or power board harness.
• With power restored and using appropriate PPE and tools, measure voltage at the contactor coil during a start command to confirm coil drive.

Resolution: If the contactor is welded closed or fails to pull in reliably, the Lucid power module or contactor assembly must be replaced. Do not attempt to file or mechanically free a welded contactor.
