Possible Causes

Recent grid surge or lightning event, Failed MOV/surge suppressor on Lucid input board, Damaged control board voltage sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker. If you suspect lightning damage, have the entire system inspected.

Steps:

  • Power-cycle: Leave the Lucid charger de-energized for at least 10 minutes, then restore power and check if E06 clears.
  • Check other devices: If other electronics in the home were damaged, it increases the likelihood the Lucid charger's surge components were stressed.
  • Visual inspection (qualified): With cover removed and power OFF, inspect the input board for cracked MOVs (disk components), burn marks, or blown fuses.

Resolution: If E06 remains, the internal surge protection or sensing circuits are likely damaged. Replace the Lucid input/surge board or full control module as specified by Lucid service documentation.
