Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation openings on Lucid wall unit, Failed internal cooling fan, Degraded thermal interface or sensor on power module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power before cleaning vents or opening the unit.

Steps:

  • Check installation clearance: Ensure the Lucid charger has the minimum side/top/bottom clearances specified in the manual. Remove any stored items blocking airflow.
  • Clean vents: Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from intake and exhaust grilles.
  • Ambient temperature: If installed in a hot garage, try charging during cooler hours. High ambient temperature can trigger E07.
  • Listen for fan: During startup, you should hear the internal Lucid cooling fan. If silent, the fan may have failed.

Technician actions:

  • With cover removed and power OFF, spin the fan blades by hand to check for binding.
  • Verify fan connector is seated on the Lucid control or power board.
  • Replace the Lucid cooling fan assembly if inoperative, and inspect thermal sensors on the power module.

Resolution: After restoring airflow or replacing the fan, clear the error by power-cycling and monitor temperature readings if available in the Lucid app.
