Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not operate the charger without a verified equipment ground. Turn OFF the breaker.
Steps:
- Check ground conductor: At the Lucid charger input, verify the green or bare ground wire is present and firmly secured to the ground terminal.
- Inspect ground lug: Ensure the internal ground bus or lug in the Lucid unit is tight and free of corrosion.
- Panel inspection (electrician): Have a licensed electrician verify that the branch circuit ground is continuous back to the service panel and properly bonded.
Resolution: Once a solid ground path is restored and all terminations are tightened to spec, power-cycle the Lucid charger. If E08 persists, the internal ground monitoring circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
