Possible Causes

Faulty PWM generator on Lucid control board, Incorrect resistor network on pilot circuit, Short between pilot and ground in cable

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power before opening the unit or handling the cable.

Steps:

  • Inspect cable: Look for damage near the handle where pilot wiring is concentrated.
  • Test with another EV: Confirm the issue is not vehicle-specific.
  • Internal inspection (technician): Check the pilot terminal connections on the Lucid control board and verify no stray strands or shorts to ground.

Resolution: If no cable fault is found, replace the Lucid control board (which contains the pilot PWM generator and encoding resistors) or the entire output cable if pilot conductor is compromised.
