Possible Causes
Charging disabled in Lucid app schedule, RFID or user authorization required but not completed, Pilot signal not transitioning due to handle not fully inserted
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is typically a low-risk control issue, but do not open the unit unless power is OFF.
Steps:
- Check schedule: Open the Lucid charger app and verify no schedule is blocking charging at the current time. Temporarily disable all schedules.
- Authorization: If your Lucid charger uses RFID or user profiles, ensure the correct tag or user is authorized and presented.
- Reconnect handle: Unplug the connector from the vehicle, wait 10 seconds, and firmly reinsert until you hear/feel the latch click.
- Test another EV: If possible, test with another vehicle to rule out a vehicle-side issue.
Resolution: If the charger remains in standby with no codes and all settings are correct, the pilot or proximity circuit may be marginal; further diagnosis of the Lucid control board and cable is required.
