Possible Causes
Tripped upstream circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse on control PCB, Failed internal power supply, Loose line/neutral connection at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work on supply circuits only if you are a qualified electrician.
- Check upstream breaker: Verify that the dedicated breaker or RCBO feeding the Mennekes charger is ON and has not tripped. Reset if necessary and observe whether it trips again.
- Verify supply voltage: Measure voltage at the charger’s input terminals. If no voltage is present, trace back through the installation.
- Inspect internal fuse: With power OFF, locate and test any internal low-voltage fuses on the main PCB or power supply module. Replace only with identical rated fuses.
- Check terminal tightness: Ensure that L/N (and L1/L2/L3) conductors are securely clamped in the terminal block.
If supply and fuses are OK but the unit remains dead, the internal power supply or main PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
