Possible Causes
Faulty temperature sensor reading high, Stuck fan control transistor, Firmware bug keeping fan on, High ambient temperature near limit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: De-energize before internal checks.
- Check ambient conditions: Measure room temperature; if near the upper limit of the charger’s rating, improve ventilation.
- Inspect temperature sensor: Ensure the sensor is properly attached to the heat sink or power module and wiring is intact.
- Replace sensor or fan control: If sensor readings are incorrect, replace the sensor. If the fan is powered even with normal sensor readings, the fan control circuit on the PCB may be faulty and require board replacement.
