Possible Causes
Loose low-voltage harness between display and main PCB, Faulty HMI (display) module, CAN bus wiring fault, Firmware incompatibility between modules
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before unplugging or plugging any internal connectors.
- Power-cycle the unit: Turn off the upstream breaker for 1–2 minutes, then restore power. Observe whether the error clears.
- Check low-voltage connectors: Open the front cover and inspect the ribbon cable or harness between the display/HMI and the main control PCB. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Inspect for damage: Look for pinched or abraded low-voltage cables, especially where they pass through housing cutouts.
- Module compatibility: If a module was recently replaced, verify that its firmware version is compatible with the main board. Update firmware if required using Mennekes service tools.
If communication cannot be restored, replace the HMI/display module or main control PCB as indicated by diagnostic procedures.
