Possible Causes
Loss of communication with external load controller, Incorrect configuration of load management mode, Faulty Modbus or Ethernet interface, Broken communication cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: De-energize before working on communication wiring.
- Check configuration: In the Mennekes configuration menu or software, verify whether external load management is enabled. If no external controller is present, disable this mode.
- Inspect communication cabling: For Modbus/RS-485 or Ethernet-based control, check that cables are intact, correctly terminated, and firmly connected.
- Test standalone mode: Temporarily configure the charger to standalone operation (no external load control) and see if charging works normally.
- Interface module: If the error persists, the communication interface module or section of the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
