Charging session stops shortly after start; Mini charger or app displays CP002

Safety: Switch off the dedicated Mini charger breaker before any disassembly.

• Check plug latch and button: On the Type 2 connector, press and release the latch button several times. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed. A stuck button can cause false proximity readings.
• Inspect connector and cable: Look for cracks around the handle where the proximity switch is located. Flex the cable gently near the handle; if CP002 appears or disappears when flexed, the PP conductor may be broken and the cable assembly should be replaced.
• Clean connector: Use contact cleaner on the PP pin and surrounding area. Allow to dry fully before reconnecting.
• Internal PP wiring check (advanced): With power OFF and cover removed, locate the PP terminal on the Mini wallbox PCB. Confirm the conductor is secure and not pinched. Tighten terminal screws lightly if loose.
• Test with another vehicle or cable (if possible): If your Mini charger is socketed (not tethered), try a different Type 2 cable. If CP002 only occurs with one cable, replace that cable. If it occurs with all cables, the PP sensing circuit on the charger PCB may be defective.

Persistent CP002 usually indicates a failed proximity switch in the connector or a faulty control board. Replacement of the tethered cable or main PCB should be done by a qualified technician.
