No output to vehicle; Mini EV Home Charger display or app shows E01 immediately after plug-in
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Work on mains wiring must be done by a qualified electrician. Do not remove covers if you are not trained.
- Check household power: Verify other loads on the same phase are operating normally. If lights dim when the charger starts, the circuit may be overloaded or undersized.
- Inspect breaker and labeling: Confirm the Mini charger is on the dedicated breaker size specified in the installation manual (often 32 A or 40 A depending on model). Reset the breaker once to rule out a nuisance trip.
- Measure voltage (electrician): With the charger idle and then during a charge attempt, measure line-to-line or line-to-neutral voltage at the charger input terminals. If voltage drops below the specified minimum (typically ~207 V for 230 V systems), correct wiring size or upstream supply.
- Tighten terminals (electrician): With power OFF, remove the front cover and check the line, neutral, and earth terminals on the Mini charger input block. Tighten to the torque specified by Mini; loose connections can cause undervoltage and heating.
If E01 persists with correct supply voltage, the internal voltage sensing circuit on the main PCB may be defective and the board should be replaced by an authorized Mini technician.
