Charger refuses to start; E02 displayed; sometimes occurs during grid fluctuations or storms
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Overvoltage can damage equipment. Only a licensed electrician should work on the supply.
- Check supply rating: Confirm the Mini charger is installed on the correct nominal voltage (e.g., 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase as per nameplate). If connected to a higher voltage system, the installation must be corrected immediately.
- Measure voltage (electrician): With a multimeter, verify line-to-line and line-to-neutral voltages at the charger input. Compare with Mini’s specified range. If above range, contact the utility or adjust transformer taps if under your control.
- Inspect neutral and earth: Loose or missing neutral can cause overvoltage on one leg. With power OFF, check that neutral and earth conductors are correctly landed and secure at the charger and distribution board.
- Surge events: If E02 appears after lightning or grid events, wait 10–15 minutes and retry. If the error clears, it may have been a transient. If it recurs, have an electrician evaluate the supply quality.
If supply voltage is within spec but E02 remains, the internal voltage sensing or protection circuit on the Mini charger PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
