Possible Causes

Earth conductor not connected at charger terminal block, Broken earth wire in supply cable, High resistance earth connection, Faulty PE monitoring circuit on Mini charger PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Danger: Do not use the charger with any earth fault. Risk of electric shock.

  • Check external earth (electrician): At the distribution board, verify that the earth bar is intact and that the charger’s earth conductor is properly terminated.
  • Inspect charger earth terminal (electrician): With power OFF and cover removed, confirm that the green/yellow earth conductor is firmly clamped in the PE terminal of the Mini charger.
  • Measure earth continuity (electrician): Use an earth continuity tester between the charger enclosure and the main earth bar. Resistance should be very low (per local code).
  • Correct any loose or broken connections: Replace damaged earth conductors and retighten terminals to specified torque.

If the earth connection is verified good but E08 persists, the PE monitoring circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a Mini technician.
