Possible Causes
Defective internal isolation monitoring module, Moisture or contamination on high-voltage components, Wiring error between IMD and main PCB, Degraded insulation in power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Isolation faults can lead to electric shock. Do not bypass IMD.
- Power down and inspect (technician): With power OFF and cover removed, inspect the power module, DC bus, and IMD connections for moisture, dust, or contamination. Clean with dry compressed air if needed.
- Check IMD wiring: Ensure all connectors between the IMD and main PCB are secure and correctly oriented.
- Drying period: If moisture is suspected (e.g., condensation), allow the charger to dry in a warm, dry environment for 24 hours before retesting.
- Replace IMD module: If E15 persists and no external cause is found, replace the isolation monitoring device with a Mini-approved part.
After replacement, run the built-in self-test to confirm proper operation.
