Possible Causes

Internal temperature sensor open or short circuit, Blocked ventilation around unit, High ambient temperature in direct sun, Failing main PCB thermal sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Overheating can lead to fire risk. Do not cover the charger or obstruct airflow.

  • 1. Check ambient conditions: If the Zappi is installed in direct sunlight or a confined space, high temperature may be genuine. Provide shade or ventilation and see if the error clears when the unit cools.
  • 2. Inspect vents: Ensure any ventilation slots on the Zappi enclosure are not blocked by dirt, cobwebs, or debris.
  • 3. Feel the enclosure: Carefully touch the outer case. If it is excessively hot, stop using the charger until the cause is identified.
  • 4. Power-cycle after cooling: Turn off the supply, allow the unit to cool for 30–60 minutes, then power back on and test.
  • 5. Internal sensor check: With power off and cover removed, locate the temperature sensor on or near the main PCB/heat sink. Check that it is firmly attached and its wiring is intact.
  • 6. Persistent E007 in normal temperatures: Indicates a faulty temperature sensor or main PCB. Replacement of the sensor or board is required by a technician.
