Possible Causes
Incorrect phase wiring on 3-phase Zappi, One phase missing or not connected, Loose phase terminal, Faulty phase detection circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Only a qualified electrician should work on 3‑phase wiring.
- 1. Confirm model type: Verify whether your Zappi is single-phase or three-phase and that the installation matches the model.
- 2. Check supply phases: With power isolated, open the Zappi and confirm that all required L1, L2, L3, N, and Earth conductors are correctly landed and tightened.
- 3. Verify at consumer unit: Ensure the 3‑pole MCB/RCBO feeding the Zappi is on three live phases and that none of the poles are off or tripped.
- 4. Measure phase voltages: An electrician should measure L1–N, L2–N, L3–N and between phases to confirm all are present and within tolerance.
- 5. Configuration check: In the Zappi menu, verify that the phase configuration is set correctly (single vs three-phase). Incorrect settings can trigger E008.
- 6. If wiring and configuration are correct: The internal phase detection circuitry on the main PCB may be faulty and require board replacement.
