Possible Causes
Incorrect CT placement on phases, Wrong phase rotation on 3‑phase system, Misconfigured grid reference CT, Faulty phase/CT correlation on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Phase rotation issues affect all 3‑phase loads; only qualified electricians should alter phase wiring.
- 1. Verify CT placement: Ensure each CT clamp is on the correct phase conductor and that the Zappi CT configuration matches the physical installation.
- 2. Check phase rotation: An electrician should verify L1‑L2‑L3 rotation at the supply and at the Zappi. Correct any swapped phases.
- 3. Re-run setup: Use the Zappi’s advanced menu to re-run any grid/CT setup wizards so it can learn the correct phase relationships.
- 4. Inspect CT wiring: Confirm that CT1, CT2, CT3 leads are not crossed or extended incorrectly.
- 5. Test in FAST mode: Temporarily switch to FAST mode (ignoring CTs) to see if the charger operates normally. If so, the issue is limited to CT/phase sensing.
- 6. Persistent E014 with correct wiring: Suggests a fault in the phase/CT correlation logic on the main PCB, requiring board replacement.
