Possible Causes

Tripped MCB/RCBO at consumer unit, Blown internal fuse on Zappi PCB, Loose line/neutral connection at terminal block, Failed internal low-voltage power supply

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Always isolate at the consumer unit before opening the Zappi.

  • 1. Check upstream protection: Inspect the MCB/RCBO feeding the Zappi. Reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, do not force it on; investigate further.
  • 2. Verify supply voltage: Have an electrician confirm that correct voltage is present at the Zappi supply terminals.
  • 3. Inspect terminal block: With power off, remove the cover and check that L, N, and Earth are securely connected and show no signs of overheating.
  • 4. Check internal fuse: Locate any internal fuses on the main PCB. If blown, replace only with the same type and rating. If it blows again, there is an internal fault.
  • 5. Look for board damage: Inspect the main PCB for burnt components or damaged tracks, especially around the low-voltage power supply section.
  • 6. Replace main PCB if dead: If correct mains is present but the unit remains completely dead, the internal PSU or main PCB has failed and must be replaced.
