Zappi intermittently stops charging mid-session without clear error, then resumes later

Safety first: Repeated overheating or tripping indicates a serious issue; do not ignore.

• 1. Monitor temperature: During charging, periodically feel the Zappi enclosure and upstream MCB/RCBO. Excessive heat suggests overloading or poor connections.
• 2. Check circuit loading: Ensure the Zappi is on a dedicated circuit sized for its maximum current and not sharing with large loads.
• 3. Inspect terminations: With power off, tighten all terminals in the Zappi and at the consumer unit feeding it.
• 4. Reduce max current: Temporarily lower the Zappi’s max current setting by a few amps and see if stability improves.
• 5. Check for nuisance RCD trips: If the upstream RCD is tripping, have an electrician test leakage currents and RCD operation.
• 6. If problem persists: Internal thermal sensors or contactor may be failing and should be checked by a technician.
