General Charge Inhibit / Mode or Configuration Issue
Zappi powers on but will not start charging any vehicle, no specific error code shown
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Charger set to ECO+ with insufficient surplus, Charge schedule preventing start, Max current set too low, Access control (PIN/RFID) enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and parking brake applied before troubleshooting.
- 1. Check charge mode: On the display, confirm the Zappi is in FAST mode for testing. ECO/ECO+ may delay or stop charging if surplus is low.
- 2. Review schedules: Disable all timers and boosts temporarily to rule out scheduling blocks.
- 3. Verify access control: Ensure the unit is not locked by PIN or RFID. Unlock if necessary.
- 4. Test with another EV/cable: Try a different vehicle or cable to rule out vehicle-side issues.
- 5. Check max current: Ensure the configured max current is not set to 0 A or an extremely low value.
- 6. If still no charge and no code: The pilot or contactor control may be failing intermittently; further diagnosis by a technician is required.
