Possible Causes
CT clamps installed on wrong conductors, CT orientation reversed, Loose CT connections at Zappi, Faulty CT clamp
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: CTs are installed around live conductors; only qualified persons should adjust them inside consumer units.
- 1. Check CT orientation: Ensure the arrow on each CT clamp points in the correct direction as per myenergi instructions.
- 2. Verify CT placement: Confirm CTs are on the intended conductors (grid feed, solar feed, etc.), not on branch circuits.
- 3. Inspect CT terminals: At the Zappi, ensure CT wires are firmly clamped in the correct CT input terminals.
- 4. Reconfigure CTs: In the Zappi menu, reassign CT roles (Grid, Generation, etc.) to match the physical installation.
- 5. Replace suspect CT: If one CT consistently reads zero or nonsense, swap it with another CT to see if the fault follows the clamp. Replace if faulty.
