Possible Causes
Failed wireless module on Nissan EVSE communication board, Damaged antenna or antenna cable, Moisture ingress at antenna connection, Firmware incompatibility with modem
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing covers or accessing the communication module.
- Check signal strength: Confirm that cellular or Wi‑Fi coverage is adequate at the charger location using a phone.
- Inspect antenna: For models with external antennas, ensure they are firmly connected and not physically damaged.
- Reboot and reconfigure: Power-cycle the EVSE and re-enter network credentials. For cellular, verify SIM activation if applicable.
- Module reseat: With power OFF, locate the communication module (often a small daughterboard) and reseat it in its socket.
If E19 continues and local charging is unaffected, the modem module may need replacement but the charger can often still be used offline.
