Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM/flash configuration, Interrupted firmware update, Faulty memory IC on control PCB, Excessive power cycling causing write errors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Configuration errors can affect current limits and safety thresholds; do not ignore persistent E14.
- 1. Attempt factory reset:
- Use the NRGkick app or documented button sequence to perform a factory reset.
- Reconfigure charging limits and Wi-Fi settings afterward.
- 2. Reapply firmware:
- If the app offers a firmware reinstallation or repair option, run it.
- 3. Avoid rapid power cycling:
- Do not repeatedly plug/unplug the charger quickly; allow at least 30 seconds between cycles.
- 4. If E14 remains after reset and firmware reload:
- The memory IC or control PCB is likely defective.
- Contact NRGkick support for board replacement.
