Possible Causes
Open-circuit or shorted NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring inside charger body, Corroded connector between sensor and PCB, Faulty ADC input on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Without accurate temperature sensing, the charger cannot protect itself from overheating. Do not force operation.
- 1. Power reset:
- Disconnect from mains and vehicle, wait 5 minutes, reconnect.
- 2. Environmental check:
- Ensure the charger has not been exposed to extreme temperatures beyond its rating.
- 3. If E16 appears immediately on power-up:
- The internal sensor or its wiring is likely damaged.
- Do not continue using the charger.
- 4. Service action:
- Temperature sensors are mounted internally on the power board or heat sink.
- Contact NRGkick support for sensor or board replacement.
