Possible Causes
Supply voltage below allowed range, Undersized or excessively long supply cable causing voltage drop, Loose terminal in consumer unit or isolator, Faulty input voltage sensing on Ohme main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Low voltage can cause overheating and unreliable operation. Do not ignore repeated E06 events.
- 1. Check for other heavy loads: Large appliances (heat pumps, electric showers) running simultaneously can cause voltage sag. Try charging when fewer loads are active.
- 2. Power reset: Turn the charger off at the isolator for 1 minute, then back on. Attempt a short charge.
- 3. Visual inspection of supply cable: Ensure the cable to the charger is not damaged or crushed. Do not open enclosures.
- 4. Electrician voltage test: Ask a qualified electrician to measure voltage at the charger during charging. If it drops below the specified range, the supply cable may be undersized or there may be a loose connection upstream.
- 5. If supply is stable: If measured voltage is within spec but E06 persists, the internal voltage sensing circuit on the main PCB may be misreading and require replacement.
