Possible Causes
Incorrectly installed external CT clamp on main supply, CT wired backwards or on wrong conductor, Damaged CT cable, Faulty CT input on Ohme charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: The main supply tails carry high current. Only a qualified electrician should adjust CT clamps on live conductors.
- 1. Check app settings: Confirm that load management is enabled only if an external CT clamp is installed and wired to the Ohme charger.
- 2. Disable load management (temporary): In the app, disable dynamic load balancing if allowed, then test if the charger operates normally without E18.
- 3. Electrician inspection: Have an electrician verify that the CT clamp is on the correct conductor (usually live feed to the property), oriented correctly (arrow towards load), and that the CT cable is intact and properly terminated at the charger.
- 4. Hardware fault: If installation is correct but E18 persists, the CT clamp or the CT input circuitry on the charger may be faulty and require replacement.
