Possible Causes
Incompatible or outdated vehicle firmware, Dirty or damaged Type 2 pins, Weak control pilot signal, Incorrect charge schedule or limit set in Ohme app
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always stop charging and isolate power before cleaning connectors.
- 1. Check app schedule: Open the Ohme app and confirm that there is either an active immediate charge or a schedule that should be running now. Disable all schedules and try a manual 'charge now'.
- 2. Verify vehicle settings: On the EV, ensure any charge timers or limits are disabled for testing. Some cars require you to enable 'charge immediately'.
- 3. Inspect connector: Unplug from the vehicle and inspect the Type 2 plug and vehicle inlet for dirt, corrosion, or damage. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- 4. Try another vehicle or public charger: If your Ohme works with another EV, the issue is likely with your vehicle. If your EV fails on both Ohme and a public charger, contact the vehicle dealer.
- 5. Firmware updates: Ensure both the Ohme charger and your vehicle have the latest firmware/software updates installed.
