How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not use a charger with a visibly damaged cable. Turn off power at the breaker.
- Inspect entire length: Run your hand along the cable and visually inspect for any cuts, cracks, or flattened sections.
- Do not tape over: Electrical tape is not an acceptable repair for EVSE cables.
- Replace cable assembly: Order and install a genuine Polestar Type 2 charge cable assembly. This may require opening the charger and terminating the new cable on the internal terminal block or board.
- Strain relief: Ensure the new cable is properly clamped and supported to prevent future damage.
