Possible Causes

Stuck or damaged emergency stop button (if equipped), Faulty door/interlock switch on enclosure, Open safety loop wiring, Defective safety input on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting any safety devices.

  • Check emergency stop: If your Polestar charger has an external E‑stop, verify that it is not engaged. Twist or pull to reset according to the label, then restore power and test.
  • Inspect enclosure interlock: Some models have a door switch that opens when the cover is removed. Ensure the cover is properly seated and screws are tightened so the switch is fully depressed.
  • Examine safety wiring: Inside the charger, trace the low‑voltage safety loop wiring from the E‑stop/interlock to the control board. Look for loose connectors or broken wires and repair as needed.
  • Board input test: If all safety devices are closed but E11 remains, the safety input circuit on the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
