How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the charger is powered but do not open the enclosure unless instructed by the manufacturer.
- Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for 2 minutes, then restore power and wait for the Polestar charger to fully boot (up to 60–90 seconds). Check if E12 clears.
- Check app or web interface: If your charger is connected to the Polestar app or a web portal, log in and check for pending firmware updates or configuration errors. Apply any recommended updates without interrupting power.
- Factory reset: If available in the user menu, perform a factory reset following the Polestar instructions, then reconfigure network and current settings.
- Service intervention: If E12 persists, the firmware may need to be re‑flashed or the main control board replaced by an authorized service technician.
