Possible Causes
Failed RFID reader module, Loose RFID antenna connection, Corrupted user authorization data, Faulty RFID interface on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal electronics.
- Test with multiple cards: Try more than one authorized RFID card or tag to rule out a single bad card.
- Inspect RFID reader: If the reader is external, check its cable and connector to the Polestar charger. Ensure it is not physically damaged or water‑logged.
- Reseat antenna/reader cable: With the cover removed and power off, locate the RFID reader connector on the main control board and reseat it.
- Re‑enroll users: If possible via the app or local menu, clear and re‑add authorized users/cards.
- Module replacement: If E14 persists, replace the Polestar RFID reader module. If that does not resolve the issue, the RFID interface on the main control board may be defective.
