Possible Causes
Line and neutral swapped at input terminals, Miswired plug on plug-in Primecom charger, Incorrect supply configuration (e.g., using neutral where not required), Loose neutral connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Incorrect wiring can cause shock and equipment damage. Only a qualified electrician should modify supply wiring.
- 1. Stop using the charger: If E14 appears after any electrical work, turn off the breaker and do not attempt further operation.
- 2. Verify wiring diagram: Compare the actual connections at the Primecom input terminal block or plug with the wiring diagram on the unit's label.
- 3. Correct polarity: Ensure that line conductors are on the correct terminals and that neutral (if used) is properly connected. For 240V-only models, neutral may not be used at all.
- 4. Inspect plug (plug-in models): If a new plug was installed, confirm that hot, neutral, and ground are correctly wired to the plug blades.
- 5. Retest: After correcting wiring, restore power and check if E14 clears. If the error persists with verified correct wiring, the line-sensing circuit on the control board may be damaged and require replacement.
