Possible Causes
Tripped MCB or RCD in consumer unit, Switched‑off or faulty local isolator, Loose supply cable in Rolec terminal block, Blown internal fuse on control PCB or power supply module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset breakers without investigating the cause. If a breaker trips again immediately, call an electrician.
- Check upstream protection: Inspect the consumer unit and any dedicated EV charger board. Reset any tripped MCBs or RCDs once only and observe.
- Verify isolator position: Ensure the external rotary isolator (if fitted) is in the ON position.
- Inspect supply cable (power off): Isolate at the consumer unit, remove the charger cover, and confirm that line, neutral, and earth are securely terminated in the Rolec terminal block.
- Check internal fuses: Some Rolec units have small cartridge fuses protecting the control PCB or auxiliary supply. Test and replace with identical rated fuses if blown, but investigate why they failed.
- If still dead: The internal power supply section of the control PCB may have failed. Replacement of the control PCB or power supply module is required.
