Possible Causes
Firmware glitch after power surge, Partial communication loss between display board and main PCB, Early warning of internal sensor fault, Incomplete firmware update
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the charger behaves unpredictably, avoid using it until stable.
- Power‑cycle: Turn off the charger at the isolator for at least 2 minutes, then restore power and observe LED behaviour.
- Check app status: Open the Rolec app to see if any hidden diagnostic messages or warnings are logged.
- Firmware update: If an update is available, apply it following Rolec’s instructions to ensure the latest LED patterns and fault handling are in place.
- Inspect display connections (power off): If the unit has a separate LED/display board, reseat the ribbon cable or connector between it and the main PCB.
- If instability continues: Contact Rolec support with the LED pattern description; the main control PCB or display board may require replacement.
