Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation around Rolec enclosure, High ambient temperature and continuous high‑current charging, Failed internal cooling fan (if fitted), Faulty temperature sensor on control PCB or contactor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Overheating can damage internal components. Allow the unit to cool before touching or opening.

  • Check ventilation: Ensure the charger is not covered, boxed in, or exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. Clear any obstructions around vents or cooling slots.
  • Inspect for dust and debris: With power isolated and cover removed, gently blow out dust from the PCB, contactor, and fan using dry compressed air. Do not use liquids.
  • Verify fan operation: On models with an internal fan, observe whether the fan spins when the charger is active (qualified person only). A seized or noisy fan should be replaced.
  • Check temperature sensor connections: Some Rolec units use thermistors attached to the contactor or PCB. Ensure these sensors are firmly attached and their connectors are secure.
  • After cooling: Power‑cycle the charger and attempt a lower‑current charge (if adjustable). If E07 recurs quickly, the temperature sensor or control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
