Possible Causes

Disconnected or reversed CT clamp on main supply, Damaged CT clamp cable, Faulty load management interface on Rolec control PCB, Incorrect configuration of dynamic load management in settings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: CT clamps are installed on live mains conductors. Only a qualified electrician should adjust or install them.

  • Check CT clamp placement: Confirm that the CT clamp is installed around the correct conductor (usually the incoming live to the property) and oriented according to the arrow marking.
  • Inspect CT cable: Trace the CT cable from the clamp to the Rolec charger. Look for cuts, pinches, or loose terminations at the CT input terminals on the control PCB.
  • Verify configuration: In the Rolec app or installer menu, ensure that dynamic load management is enabled only if a CT is installed, and that the CT ratio and phase are correctly set.
  • Test with CT disabled (installer mode): Temporarily disable load management in the configuration (if permitted by Rolec) to see if E08 clears. Do not leave permanently disabled if required by installation design.
  • Replace CT or PCB if needed: If wiring and configuration are correct but E08 persists, replace the CT clamp first. If the fault remains, the CT input circuit on the control PCB may be defective.
