Possible Causes
Failed internal kWh meter, Loose RS‑485 or pulse wiring between meter and control PCB, Incorrect meter address or protocol settings, Control PCB communication port failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: The internal meter is connected to mains; isolate power before accessing.
- Visual inspection: Locate the internal MID‑approved meter (if fitted). Check for display activity and any error icons on the meter itself.
- Check communication wiring: Verify that the RS‑485 or pulse output wires are correctly terminated at both the meter and the Rolec control PCB. Tighten any loose terminals.
- Verify configuration: In installer settings, confirm that the meter type, address, and baud rate match the installed meter’s specification.
- Power‑cycle: Reboot the charger and observe whether the meter comes online and E13 clears.
- Replace meter or PCB: If the meter display is blank or shows its own error, replace the meter. If the meter appears healthy but communication still fails, the control PCB communication interface may be faulty.
