Possible Causes
Interrupted firmware update, Corrupted configuration memory on control PCB, Incompatible firmware version loaded, Failing flash memory on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a control issue; electrical circuits are usually unaffected, but do not attempt to charge while the unit is unstable.
- Power‑cycle: Turn off the charger at the isolator for at least 5 minutes, then restore power to see if the error clears.
- Factory reset (if supported): Use the Rolec app or installer interface to perform a factory reset. Note that this will erase custom settings; record them beforehand if possible.
- Reapply firmware: If Rolec provides a firmware update tool, reload the latest approved firmware following their instructions. Ensure power is stable during the update.
- Reconfigure settings: After reset or firmware reload, re‑enter installation parameters (supply rating, earthing type, Wi‑Fi, etc.).
- Replace control PCB: If E14 persists or the unit cannot hold configuration, the flash memory or microcontroller on the control PCB is likely defective and the PCB should be replaced.
