• Check mounting: With power OFF, open the charger and ensure the contactor and any transformers/chokes are firmly mounted and all screws are tight.
• Inspect for wear: Look for signs of mechanical wear or overheating on the contactor.
• Monitor operation: If the noise is stable and there are no functional issues or overheating, it may be normal magnetostriction. However, increasing noise over time suggests component aging.
• Component replacement: A technician can replace the noisy Schneider EVlink contactor or transformer if the sound is excessive or accompanied by other symptoms.
