Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation openings, High ambient temperature exceeding EVlink rating, Failing internal temperature sensor, Loose power connections causing localized heating

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the charger to cool before touching the enclosure. Turn off power if you need to open the unit.

  • Check ambient conditions: Verify that the charger is not installed in direct sunlight or in a confined, unventilated space. High ambient temperatures can trigger E07.
  • Inspect ventilation: Ensure that all vents on the Schneider EVlink housing are clear of dust, cobwebs, or obstructions. Gently clean with a soft brush.
  • Check for loose terminals: With power OFF, open the enclosure and inspect power terminals for discoloration or signs of overheating. Tighten any loose screws to the torque specified in the EVlink manual.
  • Reduce charging current: If your EV or charger allows, temporarily reduce the charging current to lower internal heating.
  • Monitor operation: After cooling and cleaning, restore power and observe a full charging session. If E07 recurs quickly, the internal temperature sensor or control board may be faulty.
  • Technician service: A Schneider Electric–qualified technician can test the temperature sensor and replace the sensor harness or control board if necessary.
