Possible Causes
Faulty Schneider EVlink RFID reader module, Damaged or unsupported RFID card, Loose RFID reader cable, Misconfigured access control settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the RFID reader module.
- Test with another card: Use a different authorized RFID card or tag to rule out a defective card.
- Check access settings: If your EVlink is managed via an app or web portal, verify that RFID access control is configured correctly and that your card is enrolled.
- Inspect RFID reader: With power OFF, remove the front cover and locate the RFID reader. Ensure its cable is firmly connected to the control board and that the reader surface is clean and undamaged.
- Power cycle: Restore power and test again. If E16 remains, the RFID reader or control board may be faulty.
- Module replacement: Have a Schneider Electric–authorized technician replace the RFID reader module or control board as needed.
