Possible Causes
Damaged or missing gasket on front cover, Incorrect mounting allowing water to run into unit, Cracked housing, Cable gland not tightened
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker immediately. Do not operate the charger while moisture is present inside.
- Dry the unit: Leave the charger powered off and allow it to dry naturally for at least 24–48 hours. Do not use heat guns or hair dryers on the enclosure.
- Inspect seals: Check around the cover, cable entry, and conduit fittings for gaps or damaged gaskets. Tighten cable glands and conduit fittings.
- Correct mounting: Ensure the charger is mounted vertically and not in a location where roof runoff or sprinklers can spray directly onto it.
- If corrosion or residue is visible inside: Have a technician open the unit, clean corrosion, and replace any affected boards or gaskets. In severe cases, the entire unit may need replacement.
