Note: Repeated interruptions can stress the vehicle’s onboard charger.

• Step 1 – Check app logs: Review the Shell Recharge app session history for any recorded reasons (e.g., ‘grid issue’, ‘user stop’, ‘load management’).
• Step 2 – Disable smart features temporarily: Turn off scheduled charging, load balancing, and remote stop features to see if basic charging stabilizes.
• Step 3 – Monitor temperature: During a session, periodically feel the outside of the charger. If it becomes very hot, stop and have a technician inspect for loose or undersized wiring.
• Step 4 – Electrician inspection: Have a qualified electrician check all supply and internal terminals for tightness and signs of overheating, and verify the contactor operation.
• Step 5 – Component replacement: If mechanical or thermal issues are found, the main contactor or terminal block may need replacement.
