Possible Causes
Supply voltage above specified range, Neutral disconnection in supply, Grid transient or surge, Faulty input voltage sensing circuit on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Overvoltage can damage the charger and connected vehicle. Do not repeatedly reset without identifying the cause.
- Step 1 – Check with utility or electrician: Ask a qualified electrician to measure the line-to-neutral (or line-to-line) voltage at the charger’s supply terminals while under load.
- Step 2 – Inspect neutral connection: Ensure the neutral conductor is securely connected at the distribution board and at the charger terminal block.
- Step 3 – Surge protection: Confirm that appropriate surge protection devices (SPDs) are installed as recommended by Shell Recharge and local regulations.
- Step 4 – Power cycle: After confirming stable supply voltage, turn the breaker OFF for 60 seconds, then ON, and attempt charging again.
- Step 5 – If E06 continues with normal supply voltage: The internal voltage sensing circuit or main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement by an authorized technician.
