Possible Causes
Incorrect phase order (L1/L2/L3 swapped), Missing phase on supply, Loose phase conductor at terminal block, Faulty phase detection circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Applies to three‑phase Shell Recharge chargers.
- Step 1 – Verify supply type: Confirm that the charger is configured for single‑phase or three‑phase as per installation, using the app or installer menu.
- Step 2 – Electrician check: Have a qualified electrician verify that all three phases are present and correctly connected to L1, L2, and L3 at the charger terminal block.
- Step 3 – Tighten terminals: With power off, ensure all phase conductors are firmly clamped and show no signs of overheating.
- Step 4 – Power cycle: After correcting any wiring issues, turn the breaker back on and test charging.
- Step 5 – If E16 remains with correct wiring: The phase detection circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
