Possible Causes
Disconnected or reversed external current transformers, Broken communication cable to load controller, Misconfigured load management settings, Faulty external load controller module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Applies when Shell Recharge is integrated with home energy management or dynamic load balancing.
- Step 1 – Check configuration: In the Shell Recharge app or installer interface, verify that load management is configured correctly (single‑phase vs three‑phase, CT ratios, etc.).
- Step 2 – Inspect CT wiring (technician only): With power off, check that external CTs are installed on the correct conductors and oriented according to the arrows, and that their cables are intact and properly connected.
- Step 3 – Test without load management: Temporarily disable dynamic load management in the configuration (if allowed) and see if charging works normally.
- Step 4 – Check external controller: If a separate load controller is used, power cycle it and verify its status LEDs.
- Step 5 – Persistent E19: The external controller or the charger’s load management interface may be defective and require professional service.
