Possible Causes
High ambient temperature around unit, Blocked ventilation slots, Loose high-current connections causing localized heating, Failing internal temperature sensor drifting out of range
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before touching the enclosure.
- Check ambient conditions: If installed in a small, enclosed space or in direct sun, improve ventilation or shading.
- Clear vents: Remove dust, spider webs, and debris from all vents using a soft brush or vacuum.
- Inspect connections: With power off, check and retorque high-current lugs at the input terminal block and contactor. Look for discoloration indicating overheating.
- Monitor operation: After improvements, run a full charging session and periodically feel the enclosure (it may be warm but not too hot to touch). If shutdowns continue, the temperature sensor or control board may need replacement.
