Charger will not start charging unless the J1772 handle is held firmly in place; slight movement stops charging.

Safety first: Do not force the connector; damage can worsen.

• Inspect latch and housing: Check that the latch fully engages and that the handle seats completely in the vehicle inlet.
• Clean contacts: Use contact cleaner on the handle pins and vehicle inlet. Allow to dry fully.
• Test on another vehicle: If the issue only occurs on one car, the vehicle inlet may be worn and require service.
• Replace handle/cable: If the handle is visibly worn or deformed, replace the J1772 output cable and handle assembly.
